Very reasonably priced at $2.25 / taco. Family owned business, very very nice people. We like them allot!
Taco flavors include Steak, Fried Pork, Marinated Pork, Cow Tongue, Chorizo, and a combination mix of all of the above. The ambiance is authentic "south of the boarder".
On our most recent visit, we tried the marinated pork, chorizo, steak and fried pork. The portions are huge! the offering of sauces are amazing ranging from mildly spicy to "good lord put the fire out in my mouth" (The green guac sauce).
The Official Amigo Review -
Amigo's #2 says . . . āEl Amishā? While the name will make you wonder if its really a taco joint, the tacos themselves will make you think you were in Mexico. Authentic tacos for a fair price of $2.25 each. I have been here a few times and have always had a few Chorizo (Pork Sausage) tacos. This time I switched it up and also had an Asada (Steak) and a Buche (Pork Stomach). First the Chorizo, they are pretty good. The meat is a little finer than I would prefer and not a spicy as I like, but overall they were good. The Asada was also good. But the Buche⦠I had never had this type of taco before and didnāt realize it was pork stomach before I took my first bite, but man was it good! It was my favorite of the three. The service is fast and friendly which makes it possible for a lunch hour if youāre on that side of town. I wouldnāt hesitate to return if I was in the neighborhood.
Amigo #3 - Says that the Chorizo was his personal favorite of the afternoon. It was well seasoned and not too dry. The Asada (steak) tasted a bit bland today. Strips of steak fried on the grill and into the shell with some onion and cilantro. It was probably my least favorite of the day. The āfried porkā wasnāt what it sounded like. "Buche" is pork stomach, wish I would have known that before ordering. Iām not opposed to eating it, though. It had great flavor, but the texture wasnāt what I was expecting when I had read āfried pork.ā They were chewy when I was after a bit of a crisp. He says he would definitely eat here again, though. Great portion size, vegetables and sauces are a great alternative to chips and salsa as a starter, and all at a fair price.
Amigo #1 had the marinated pork tacos. All I can say is what a wonderful taste treat. 100% perfect with no complaints. Awesome marinade, huge portion size, good and friendly service. Well worth the trip to Broadway Ave.
Overall star rating (1-5 scale), average from the 3 Amigos:
