OK, here's the deal - Every Tuesday and Monday $1 Tacos!!! Ground beef, Chicken, Marinated pork and Chorizo. The Taco's are a bit smaller, but the flavor makes up for it!!! Outstanding flavorful "Bang for the buck" (literally . . . šŸ˜‰) Their house-made sauces are excellent too! Truly one of the better taquerias in town.

It's a small family run business and they work hard to make you feel right at home.

The "Three Amigos" give them a solid 4 out of 5 stars! Very good and job well done Tropic Chicken Labastida!

Tacos priced at just under $2 each on Tuesday, or $2.25 any other day, and are well worth it. The portion size was nice. The steak was the best we’d had yet. It was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, not tough and not dry. The Chorizo was another favorite amongst the three amigos. It had excellent flavor as well. Both the shredded chicken and the grilled chicken had great flavor too. The only real issue here is the inconsistency of the shells. Some come out with a good bit of bite to them, while the others are soft and not as much of a snap to them.

The 3 Amigos rating comes in at 4.7 stars.
Definitely our best review so far. Absolutely recommended by the amigos!

Last week we reviewed Sergio's Ranchero Taqueria.

If authentic to you means dirty and poor service from a dive you may find in the slums of Guadalajara . . . this may be just what you are looking for.

Tacos priced at $2.25 ea. The portion size was marginal, the corn tortillas were seemingly steamed and not grilled on the flat top. This equals a taco that disintegrates in your hand within the first few bites. The steak was by far the best with the chorizo a close second. Other offerings include chicken, beef tongue and some tripe mixture.

Finally, DO NOT GO THERE FOR THE RESTROOMS . . . (need I say more) šŸ˜

The 3 Amigos rating comes in at an abysmal 2.3 stars.
By far our worst rating yet. These reviewers do not recommend.

A quick note/review from Three Rivers Distilling Company and their "Taco Tuesday" promotion.

Bottom line: Very Very Good!!
$2 Tacos - Good portion size. Ambiance is hip, friendly, casual and inviting. Service was very good, friendly and conversational.

TRD Co. offers Chicken, Beef, Marinated Pork, and Vegetarian Tacos. I had chicken, beef and pork. I was not disappointed at all. Again, All Very Very good!

Amigo #1 Rates Three Rivers Distilling a 4.6 star rating.
(though not a true Taqueria, it was great - House made speciality sauces may have gotten them to a full 5 star rating)

The highlight of the evening was my cocktail however, "The Heaven and Hell" made with 90 proof house made Jalapeno Vodka. Let's just say it will get your attention! šŸ˜‰. The perfect compliment, for a great meal and date night with my wife.

Excellent Job Three Rivers Distilling Company!
4.6 Star Rating. Like the Terminator, "We will be back"!

Very reasonably priced at $2.25 / taco. Family owned business, very very nice people. We like them allot!
Taco flavors include Steak, Fried Pork, Marinated Pork, Cow Tongue, Chorizo, and a combination mix of all of the above. The ambiance is authentic "south of the boarder".

On our most recent visit, we tried the marinated pork, chorizo, steak and fried pork. The portions are huge! the offering of sauces are amazing ranging from mildly spicy to "good lord put the fire out in my mouth" (The green guac sauce).

The Official Amigo Review -

Amigo's #2 says . . . ā€œEl Amishā€? While the name will make you wonder if its really a taco joint, the tacos themselves will make you think you were in Mexico. Authentic tacos for a fair price of $2.25 each. I have been here a few times and have always had a few Chorizo (Pork Sausage) tacos. This time I switched it up and also had an Asada (Steak) and a Buche (Pork Stomach). First the Chorizo, they are pretty good. The meat is a little finer than I would prefer and not a spicy as I like, but overall they were good. The Asada was also good. But the Buche… I had never had this type of taco before and didn’t realize it was pork stomach before I took my first bite, but man was it good! It was my favorite of the three. The service is fast and friendly which makes it possible for a lunch hour if you’re on that side of town. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I was in the neighborhood.

Amigo #3 - Says that the Chorizo was his personal favorite of the afternoon. It was well seasoned and not too dry. The Asada (steak) tasted a bit bland today. Strips of steak fried on the grill and into the shell with some onion and cilantro. It was probably my least favorite of the day. The ā€œfried porkā€ wasn’t what it sounded like. "Buche" is pork stomach, wish I would have known that before ordering. I’m not opposed to eating it, though. It had great flavor, but the texture wasn’t what I was expecting when I had read ā€œfried pork.ā€ They were chewy when I was after a bit of a crisp. He says he would definitely eat here again, though. Great portion size, vegetables and sauces are a great alternative to chips and salsa as a starter, and all at a fair price.

Amigo #1 had the marinated pork tacos. All I can say is what a wonderful taste treat. 100% perfect with no complaints. Awesome marinade, huge portion size, good and friendly service. Well worth the trip to Broadway Ave.

Overall star rating (1-5 scale), average from the 3 Amigos:
A very respectable 4.1!

Congratulations and good job Tacos Arandas "El Amish"!
