Did you know? The Central of Georgia Railroad was once one of the most important rail lines in the entire South.

Built to connect Savannah to the interior of Georgia, it eventually stretched hundreds of miles — linking cities, moving goods, carrying people, and shaping the communities along its path, including Fort Valley.

Our depot was built in 1903 right on that line. Before there were highways or airports, the railroad was how the world moved. And Fort Valley was right on the map.

Those same tracks still run past our windows today. We think that's something worth pausing for.
