Thank you to those individuals, who have recently donated both the Yoder smoker and the Camp Chef. They have been put to great use over Labor day weekend. A special thank you to Camp Chef, helping us get the Camp Chef smoker up and running again. We had a great customer service experience.
We are so blessed to receive such a blessing and the great cooks we have here at the mission to use them.

Meet Reverend Andy Whitaker Smith, Senior Pastor at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church- a church that has been a longtime friend and partner of the Fort Myers Rescue Mission!

Reverend Andy joined us today for lunch service and jumped right in, dishing out cheeseburgers and fried potatoes like a pro! 🍔🥔

For many years, Cypress Lake United Methodist Church has faithfully partnered with the Mission through time, talent, treasured prayers, and financial support. Whether they are sending large youth teams to clean and brighten our grounds, providing a faithful Saturday lunch crew to prepare delicious meals for the men, or sharing generous financial gifts to support our food service ministry, they continue to show us what it means to minister to others.
Reverend Andy told us that he loves the people of Cypress Lake Methodist as they are "fun-loving people who love serving the Lord".

We were delighted to meet Nitta, a Mobile Community Health Worker/Medical Assistant with Can Community Health. Nitta and her team partner with the Fort Myers Rescue Mission to provide free medical screenings and health testing for the men we serve. Their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to caring for our community are a tremendous blessing. We are truly grateful for Nitta and Can Community Health and appreciate the difference they make in the lives of our residents.

Good morning. We are headed to Penns Creek camp this weekend but back on the home front, at the mission, things keep going forward. We are blessed to have a great kitchen crew who helps keep our guys fed. And oh, what a special treat they had this week.
