You might wanna grab a cup o' joe and sit down for this one—we have some tough news to share.

Our parent organization, The Genesis Project, has made the difficult decision to close Genesis Coffee and the Youth Mentorship and Job Readiness Program. According to leadership, this is a financial decision they needed to make in order to meet higher priority budget needs. We are sincerely grateful for the past 7 years of their support, financially and beyond.

We are surprised. We are sad. We are disappointed. AND we are so grateful for the truly inspirational volunteer mentors, youth, partners and clientele that made our little dream possible. Y'all made a real-deal difference in so many young people's lives and that will never change. Thank you thank you thank you.

Our last day of business will be Thursday, October 27th. Pull up and party with us 'til then!

High-altitude, plein-air, peak-fall coffee cart events *only* !!! Jk, we love the joy The Mariya brings inside, outside, in town or the middle of nowhere. But we especially loved delighting the Jamaland festival-goers on the most perfect fall day. What a weekend! Thanks for having us. See you next year! 😎

Today we witnessed a miracle—our neighbors in Parklane Mobile Home Park, with the help of a newly formed nonprofit (Vecinos Unidos/United Neighbors), outbid a commercial owner's offer and officially purchased THEIR park today! This makes them one of just six mobile homes parks in Colorado to accomplish buying their mobile home park and establishing a community-owned model to secure equitable and sustainable housing for years to come.

This community is so special to us and abides at the heart of Genesis's raison d'être. We've shared coffee, tamales, dreams, tears, crisis, grief, quinces and joy with these families and youth since día uno. It is our biggest honor to be your neighbor.

Last week we had a blast hosting our first ever Latte Art Workshop and Throwdown with expert baristas and .milk.cortado! Mentees and mentors learned the basics of steaming milk, pouring latte art and competing in the industry insider’s ultimate test of skills—a throwdown! (Scroll to the end to check out our champ 😏)

Keep your eyes peeled for our next event, which will be open to the public. Proud of all these cool cats are learning! Come check out their skills M-F from 8am-3pm, now until foreva. 😎

The Genesis Coffee Mobile Bar will be at the Garden Tour on June 25! Genesis Coffee is a volunteer-run specialty coffee shop that mentors our city’s most marginalized and underserved youth through their Job Readiness + Youth Mentorship Program.

Your $30 Garden Tour ticket purchase also goes to support programs benefitting women and children in Northern Colorado. Tickets are available online at JLGardenTour.org, in person at Fort Collins Nursery or at our Will Call booth in City Park on June 25.

If you've been in to our shop, you'll know our space is pretty unique. Ex-strip club, part-time specialty cafe, full-time community space, after school program host with a little bit of church on the weekend and futsal leagues in the evening. Our building is used pretty much all day, every day. We love our Link Lane community and are proud of all that goes on at 400 S Link. Stop in and soak up the vibes today! Open til 3pm. : )

We think loving people well means serving them a product we can stand behind without compromise. One of the ways we do this is by keeping our syrup-making in house and under our control.

Genesis Coffee syrups are:
