FoCo Cafe will be closed tomorrow for New Year’s Day — and we will reopen on Friday, January 2.

We will still be trying to keep our “Freedge” stocked during our closure for those who need food — and we encourage you to help us fill the Freedge and Kindness cupboard with food to keep our community well fed through the holiday!

Join us tomorrow for our 11th Annual Thanksgiving Lunch Service! 🍂🦃

Tomorrow (Thursday, November 27) marks 11 years since we first opened our doors on Thanksgiving Day 2014. We’re celebrating our anniversary the way we started—by sharing a meal with our community!

Join us from 12-3pm for traditional Thanksgiving meals, gluten-free options, and vegan/GF plates available for both dine-in and carry-out.

We’re expecting to serve as many as 300 meals, so come early to make sure you don’t miss out!

Pay-What-You-Can!

The standard donation is $15, but everyone can receive a meal regardless of their ability to pay—made possible by those who pay it forward. 💚

Important Hours:

📍 We will be closing at 1pm TODAY (Wednesday) to prep for tomorrow’s service

📍 We will be CLOSED Friday & Saturday so our team can rest and spend time with family

Thank you to everyone who’s already stepped up to support FoCo Cafe with a monthly gift. Your commitment means the world to us and provides the stable foundation we need to continue serving over 1,500 meals each month to our community.

WE DID IT! $113,850 Raised - Goal CRUSHED! 🎉

Fort Collins, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude: We’ve raised $113,850 and officially SURPASSED our $100,000 goal to save FoCo Cafe!

Twelve weeks ago, we faced the very real possibility of closing our doors forever. Today, thanks to this incredible community, we’ve not only survived - we’ve built the financial foundation we desperately needed.

Here’s how we did it:

• $42,500 in online donations

• $40,950 in offline donations (cash, checks, mail)

• $11,900 from foundations, businesses, churches, and clubs

• $10,000 from Ent Credit Union’s Matching Grant (which matched 124 donations!)

• $8,500 from people paying-it-forward during lunch service

With over 400 individual donations, this is the most successful fundraising effort in FoCo Cafe’s 11-year history!!

MASSIVE thank you to Ent Credit Union for their $10,000 matching grant - every dollar of it has been used to double our community’s impact!

Thank you to our organizational partners: Eyeopeners Kiwanis Club, Maxline Brewery, FirstBank, Lions Foundation, Heart of the Rockies Church, Edge Optics, Center for Spiritual Living NOCO, Rotary Club of Fort Collins Foothills, and so many more.

And thank you to every single person who donated $5, $50, $500 or more, who shared our story, who came for lunch, who believed in our mission. You saved FoCo Cafe.

We went from the brink of closure to having secured operations through the end of 2025 and into 2026. This is what “Feeding Our Community Ourselves” looks like.

WE DID IT! We've Surpassed Our $100,000 Goal! 🎉

Fort Collins, I'm writing with news that brings me to tears of joy and gratitude: We've raised $109,100 and officially surpassed our $100,000 goal to save FoCo Cafe!

Twelve weeks ago, we faced the very real possibility of closing our doors forever. Today, thanks to over 400 individual donations from this incredible community, we've not only survived - we've secured our operations through the end of 2025 and into 2026 and built the financial foundation we desperately needed.

This is the most successful single fundraising effort in FoCo Cafe's 11 year history, and it happened because Fort Collins refused to let a vital community resource disappear.

To everyone who donated, shared our story, came for lunch, or supported us in any way - THANK YOU. From $5 donations to major organizational grants, every contribution mattered. You've shown me what "Feeding Our Community Ourselves" truly means.

Still want to give? It's not too late! We have $1,645 in matching funds remaining from Ent Credit Union, so there's still time to double your gift through online donations at coloradogives.org/fococafe.

What's Next?

With this fundraiser's success, we're shifting our focus for Colorado Gives Day and year-end fundraising. Instead of a specific dollar goal, we'll be working to grow our base of sustaining members (monthly donors) to create ongoing stability through an uncertain funding climate and a time of transition at the cafe.

Our Party With A Purpose this December will be a celebration of our community coming together to save FoCo Cafe - less fundraiser, more "fun-raiser"! More details about sustaining memberships and the party coming soon.
