πͺ Monday Baking Tip:
We have all been there: you are completely ready to bake cookies, but you realize your recipe calls for "room temperature butter" and your sticks are frozen solid straight from the fridge. ππ
Nuking it in the microwave can turn it into a greasy mess, which completely ruins the texture of your cookies. And if you don't have a "Soften Butter" style feature, or are unsure how to best use it, then what?
You just need The Warm Glass Hack:
Take a standard glass measuring cup or a tall glass mug, fill it with hot tap water, and let it sit for 1 minute until the glass absorbs the heat. βπ₯
Dump the water out, quickly dry the glass, and stand your cold stick of butter upright on a plate.
Flip the hot glass upside down and place it right over the butter like a miniature dome.
Why this wins:
The trapped heat radiating from the glass acts as a gentle, uniform sauna. In just 60 seconds, it softens the butter right down to its core without melting a single drop! π€©π§
