If you know me, you know I LOVE cooking Sunday dinner, inviting my family over, and then going to BED on everybody! 🤣🤣 And if you REALLY know me, you know I don’t allow frying inside my house! We honestly use our patio cooking equipment more than our kitchen!

So today, we fired up the grill and turned on the Blackstone! 🔥

🍖 Smoked Pork Loin with Jezebel Sauce
🥬 Southern Creole Fried Cabbage
🍚 Yellow Rice
🍠 Baked Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar Butter
🧁 And of course, cupcakes from Cupcaking With Christ!

But today, I want to share my fried cabbage recipe with y’all, simply because somebody might need it. ❤️(see comments)

🌻💛 Some cakes mean a little more than others…

It’s crazy because I never got the chance to make my Great Grandma a birthday cake. Now, don’t get me wrong, I knew how to make cakes wayyyyy back then, but I was so busy with life that I just didn’t make the time.

And that’s something I can never go back and change.

So now, when you call me and tell me your Granny’s favorite color is yellow, just know I’m probably adding some sunflowers! 🌻😂💛 Because my Granny loved sunflowers too!

Sunflowers symbolize love, loyalty, longevity, happiness, and unwavering faith. They naturally turn toward the sunlight, and to me, that’s a beautiful reminder to always turn toward God, even in life’s darkest moments. 🌻

Every sunflower I place on a cake is a little piece of my Granny’s memory. It’s my way of honoring her while celebrating somebody else’s Granny.

I may not have gotten to make my Granny her birthday cake, but I get to help other families celebrate theirs. And that’s a blessing I’ll never take for granted. 🥹💛

Sometimes it’s more than just cake. Sometimes it’s love, memories, and a little piece of heaven. 🌻❤️

Join Cupcaking with Christ on December 5th for our Kids’ Christmas Cupcake Decorating Class!

❤️ All proceeds will be gifted to a single mother in the Forrest City area to help make her Christmas a little brighter! (For privacy and dignity, the selected mother will receive her blessing privately unless she wishes otherwise.)
