MEET THE FAMILY!
We are a family owned business, and we love doing this together. Counting our son in law Chandler, we have 10 kids. Every one of our kids have worked in the coffee business at different times.
Hannah and Chandler on the left have both graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego where they met. They were married 1 year ago. They stayed in San Diego and I don't think we will ever get them back. Ha. Hannah majored in Education administration, and Chandler graduated with his business degree. Chandler works for a finance company in SD.
Deja, who many of you know because she has worked regularly in the shop, just left for her first year at PLNU. She fell in love with SD on her visit down there with Hannah and Chandler. She plays the piano and sings beautifully.
Shawn, who is standing behind Deja, has been attending Sac State for the last couple of years. He will be spending much more time helping us at the shop now that Deja is gone. He is an amazing artist and musician.
Kaiah is next sitting in front if Deja. I can't believe how tall this kid is getting. He is a sophomore at Antelope High School. He always has a smile and a positive attitude.
Jimmy and Brook are both Freshmen this year. Jimmy loves baseball and Brook loves basketball and volleyball. Jimmy has the muscle and Brook has the wit to keep us on our toes.
Kian is in front of Jimmy, and Layla is next to Brook. Yep, we have two sets if twins in our beautiful blended family. Kian is a little walking encyclopedia, while Layla is our little track star. That girl is fast. They are now 8th graders. All 4 of our twins were born in July, and formed their own youtube channel called Julyfire. Check them out for some fun viewing.
Our son Luke is next sitting by Angie. Luke is a sophomore at PLNU, and is studying to be a Physician Assistant. He has always been a terrific student as have all the kids, and was an all league point guard in high school on the basketball team. There is always some laughter going on around Luke. He recently started playing guitar, and he is trying hard to catch up to Shawns skill level.
Angie and I have been married for 6 years now, and are so thankful that we found each other. We know life can get difficult sometimes, but it can also get better. Our kids all love each other and get along so well.
Family is so important to us. It is the heartbeat behind our business. It is such a joy and honor for our family to serve you coffee and tea. We hope we can meet some of your families soon. The ice skating rink will be back in the Folsom Plaza in November, and we will be rinkside serving our homemade hot cocoa. That would be a great time to meet your family!
