We've become aware of a post circulating from a local news source regarding our recent health inspection. Unfortunately, it does not provide the full context of the inspection and has led to some understandable confusion.
We believe it's important to clarify the facts.
Our Flowood location recently underwent a routine inspection, during which the Mississippi State Department of Health documented the presence of gnats and flies. There were no "rodents or animals" observed during the inspection as stated in the article. As shown in the attached inspection report, Item #31 on page 2 specifically states "gnats and flies observed", and the corrective action reflects treatment for gnats and flies.
While flies can be a challenge during the Mississippi summer, we recognize that maintaining a clean, safe restaurant is our responsibility. We take that responsibility seriously and have already taken steps to resolve this issue.
Immediately following the inspection, our team:
- Scheduled additional treatment with our pest control provider.
- Had a plumbing company come out and fix the hot water for the area mentioned.
- Addressed the remaining items noted by the inspector.
- Continuing to work closely with the Mississippi State Department of Health to ensure every corrective action is completed and scheduling a follow-up inspection ASAP.
- Reached out to the local news source that shared this poorly written story in hopes that we can correct the misinformation being shared. As of current, we have not heard back.
We're sharing the actual inspection report because we believe transparency matters. We encourage everyone to review it for themselves rather than relying on incomplete summaries aiming to garner attraction and "clicks."
