Meet our owner!🌵
This is Matt Jordan
Owner of Saguaro Breakfast Burritos Ltd.
Matt is a passionate and hardworking guy who puts 100% into anything he starts. So this business has been no different! 5 of his biggest passions:
1. Food
2. Running
3. Serving the community
4. Travel
5. Music
He was born and raised here in Florence, South Carolina by a hardworking family who always supports his dreams no matter how big or small. They are always helping and showing up in countless ways. You may have met them if you have stopped by when we’re open!
Matt is a 2014 graduate of the IB program at Wilson High School. He is also a 2018 graduate of College of Charleston with a Bachelor’s in Biology. Matt still loves furthering his education in plants, wildlife, and our beautiful country any chance he gets.
He loves to travel. Not only that, he loves to travel on foot. Matt has put thousands and thousands of miles on his feet since he started cross country in high school. From 5ks to running across the USA for cancer, when it comes to running, it has impacted not only him, but countless others through fundraising and donations. Through the years he found that he really enjoyed making his own routes and crossing states using his own direction. Crossing city’s, landscapes, remote areas is a different kind of experience when you do it on foot. You worked for it. You spent more time soaking it all in. So… Of course we crossed South Carolina, but really, it started with Oregon…Washington, then over 3 years we just finished California this year, July 2026. Matt has raised over 10,000 for Owl's Nest Recovery Community in Florence since 2023 through fundraising using word of mouth as the biggest tool. We are always happy to collect donations for them! Through these runs, there has been so much triumph, but also a lot of loss and heartbreak. There were moments where only God got us through it. A lot of time on the road to think, to plan, and to reevaluate. But also, to be still, to be strong, and to survive by any means possible.

Through the experience of living out west, and seeing so much of it, he tried every kind of food you can imagine. His favorite? It’s what you see implemented in our menu. BURRITOS. TEX MEX. BREAKFAST. WESTERN/CALIFORNIA STYLE.
So, it only fits that he has a passion for bringing back what he loves to his hometown. He wants Florence to branch out of their comfort zone, but also have your southern favorites at the same time.
So basically, say hello to Matt.
