So this weekend, we loaded up the smoker and headed down to Conway for the Waccamaw Shriners 5th annual Smoke on the Waccamaw Bbq Competition. We left out Friday morning to a very foggy ride to Conway. Friday night we participated in the soup competition and Saturday we had our barbecue and ribs turn in. Though we did not place as well as we had hoped on the barbecue side. A positive note we did finish second in the rib competition. There was a lot of great teams that we had competed against. Congratulations to Jim with FFITS Bbq on getting a call in pulled pork. We learned quite a few things this weekend and we will use the lessons we learned going forward. Jimmy Day and the Shriners did an amazing job putting this together.
