Many of you have probably been wondering what we have been up to at Runyon’s Smokehouse, as it’s been quite a while since we’ve posted anything. We would like to let everyone know that we made the difficult decision to move back to our home state of Ohio. It wasn’t an easy decision or one that was made lightly. We greatly appreciate your support and the opportunities we had to serve all of you.

To all of our Ohio friends, relatives, and fans, we look forward to serving up our one of a kind barbecue to you later this year when we get all of our licensing in order and all of our inspections done. Until then, we thank you all and we look forward to the future!

Nancy Kay Runyon
September 12, 1946- April 15, 2025

Mom passed away peacefully at 2:15 this morning. Our hearts are bleeding now, but we’ll be ok. We’ll be ok because Mom and Dad’s love, compassion, goodness, loyalty, bravery, generosity, and countless other qualities that are rare in today’s world, live on in their children every day! We were privileged to have had the best parents imaginable, albeit for such a short time. My Mom was probably the first to encourage me in discovering my culinary side, among many other things- always encouraging me. You could say that she and my Dad, and Kathy’s parents, were some of the original founders of Runyon’s Smokehouse. I know we’ll be together again……….. but not yet. Until that time my dear, sweet, beautiful momma, always know that I love you forever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Stop by our Food Truck at Jack Hanania Chevy on Valentine's Day! Friday, February 14, we will be serving from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Check out the menu in the comments! We handmake all of our meats, including our hot dogs and bologna! We also handcraft our sides and sauces. A lot of LOVE goes into our food! 🥰

We wanted to say a huge thank you to all who came out today to enjoy the North Florida Folk Network (NFFN) Fall Folk Festival. We enjoyed meeting and feeding everyone. We had some that have been without power for days and were looking forward to a hot meal, some enjoyed our food so much they came back for seconds. We were told our brisket is the best ever. We had people reconnecting with their childhood via our fried bologna sandwiches. All in all, it was a wonderful day. It was our pleasure to serve you, and we look forward to feeding you again!!
