Good morning, folks 💛

While we’re taking a little time off, we still wanted to use this page to share some things that matter — even when they have nothing to do with us.

Yesterday, a friend told us that Charlotte, the owner of Sugarcane & Shepherd, is dealing with some serious health issues and could use a little support to help keep her bakery going.

Running a small business is hard enough when everything is going right. When life throws something big at you, keeping that business moving can become almost impossible.

And if you’ve ever been to Sugarcane & Shepherd, you already know how talented Charlotte is. We don’t go out for desserts very often, and being food people, we’re admittedly pretty hard to impress 😂 — but her bakery is absolutely one of those places that impresses us.

So we just wanted to help spread the word. If you’re able to donate, wonderful. If not, sharing the fundraiser can help too. 💛

We’re rooting for Charlotte and hoping our little community can help keep something she’s worked so hard to build going while she takes care of herself.

Good morning, folks! 💛 We’ve noticed quite a few new followers over the last day or so, so we figured it was a good time to say hello and tell you what we’re all about!

We’re Hey Chickadee, and right now we’re serving our Honey Creemee® — a honey soft-serve ice cream we make with local A2 Jersey milk and local honey — in Flat Rock, NC. 🍦🐝

We had the opportunity to pop up in this little spot for the summer, and we’ve had such a great time being here!

A little heads-up on our October schedule:

We are CLOSED October 9 & 10 and October 16 & 17 while we take a previously planned trip.

Then we’re back for our FINAL TWO WEEKENDS:
🍦 October 23 & 24
🍦 October 30 & 31

After that, we’ll pivot back into catering, private dining and events for the winter while we figure out what’s next for Honey Creemee® in 2027.

So if you’re new here — welcome! 👋 And if you’ve been meaning to come see us in Flat Rock, you’ve got four more days to make it happen. 💛

Friendly reminder: you don’t have to be a chef to help someone with a meal. (It helps 🤣)

If you’re cooking for one or two people, you already know sometimes it’s just as much work as cooking for four. Make the full recipe, keep what you need, and share the rest. 💛

Becky is battling advanced-stage lung cancer, and right now she and Brad could really use a little extra help. One meal can mean one less thing they have to worry about that day.

Cook a meal, send a gift card, or simply share their Meal Train. Little things can make a big difference. 💛

Hey y’all! 💛 Thank you SO much for all the support this weekend! We had so many people stop by who told us they’d been meaning to come try Honey Creemee® all summer, along with so many of our staple supporters who keep coming back again and again. We appreciate every single one of y’all!

We definitely weren’t expecting to run completely out of ice cream, but we’re also incredibly thankful to finish the weekend without any waste. That being said, we’re sorry to everyone who came by after we sold out and didn’t get their Honey Creemee fix! 🍦

We’ll be making some extra mix for our final two weekends so hopefully we’ll have plenty to go around!

Just a reminder — we’re closed the next two weekends while we take a little already-planned time away.
