We’ve got to get back to sharing more here from DJ and our parent business, The Merc… but for those following along over here — we’ve got espresso again. ☕🙌 Hot drinks, fresh pours, and a very happy crew after what has felt like the world’s longest espresso machine saga. Come say hello.
We. Have. Espresso. ☕️🙌
Friends… it has been a month.
Our main machine went down.
Then the backup machine went down.
Repairs led to more repairs.
The loaner machine went down.
A replacement machine showed up… and wasn’t usable.
Through all of it, we’ve had to keep explaining over and over that we simply had no good way to pour the kind of espresso drinks that we hope you’ve come to expect from us.
But at 2 a.m. this morning, our dear friend Ethan Hill — one of the many incredible people who continue to show up and do whatever needs doing when The Merc needs help — got a used machine he tracked down from a reputable seller in Watertown up and running.
Small business is never just about the business. It’s about the people who quietly step in, troubleshoot, haul equipment, answer late-night calls, and help carry the load when things go sideways.
Ethan — and all of the others who continue to show up for us — thank you. More than you know.
To all of you who have been patient, understanding, and still walking through our doors while we figured it out… thank you, too.
Now… who needs a latte?
