The outdoor art center in New Windsor spreads massive sculpture across five hundred acres of rolling fields, and October light makes all of it better. It's a short drive from here, which makes it the perfect long weekend plan.

Dia Beacon houses one of the country's great contemporary art collections, with Main Street just down the hill for shops, coffee, and a good lunch. It's about fifteen minutes from here, which makes it an easy afternoon.
