As we get into the summer heat, the 29 South garden still has things blooming. The tomatoes and the basil are good producers and the eggplant flowers will soon provide white and purple eggplants.... then there always our wonderful sunflowers to shade the garden from the sun.

The sunflowers at the 29South garden are in full bloom right now. The petals of sunflowers are edible (often used as a garnish), and later the seeds can be eaten. Many of The sunflower plants are now 8-feet tall, and provide some shade for the garden in the heat of the summer.

We still have a few openings left for Mother’s Day Brunch this Sunday, May 12. 🌸🌺
We will have an incredible buffet brunch featuring some of our signature brunch items such as fried green tomatoes, fresh fruit, shrimp ceviche, pastries, a cheese display, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, grits, garden veggie frittatas, shrimp and grits and pork with mac n cheese. 🍓🥐🍳🥓
We will of course offer Mimosas, and also Sangria 🍾🍹

We still have a few seats available for our Alexander Valley Vineyards wine dinner this Tuesday the 30th. This wine dinner is a 5 course meal with wine pairings for each course.
Here is glimpse of what is in store:

Artisanal cheeses to start paired with the AVV Gewurztraminer.

A flounder crudo with broken citrus vin and crisp radish to pair with the AVV Estate Chardonnay.

29 South’s famous pork belly and grits with the Estate Merlot.

The AVV School House Cabernet will pair with beef tenderloin, spring carrot puree, fresh carrots and peas from our own garden.

And for a decadent ending, flourless chocolate cake with graham cracker crunch and berries will compliment the CYRUS Bordeaux Blend.
