The soup today is Chicken wild rice made with locally harvested wild rice. We also have the Roasted Turkey sandwich on Cranberry Bread.

It’s a lovely day to sit on the patio! Abbey made Ham and Potato soup with the wonderful potatoes and onions we are getting from East Dane Prairie Gardens. We have some Hungarian Mushroom soup left over from yesterday (in case you missed it), and the Roasted Beet Sandwich is always a great way to go. Sub vegan cheese for the goat cheese on the sandwich if you want!

Tess is going to work on creating this creamy vegan soup today and we are coming up with a special sandwich to go with it using some delicious peach jelly Gene brought back from Texas for us to try!

Garden fresh cucumbers and tomatoes are my favorite bit of some faire. They just taste so much better fresh from the garden.
Additionally, Ricardo made a black bean and jalapeño/mango chicken sausage soup that’s to die for. There is still some left to try tomorrow. We are in full summer swing and loving the heat wave.
