🚨 WHERE THE HECK HAVE WE BEEN? 🚨

A bunch of you have asked why The Boston Slice & More hasn’t been out and about lately. Don’t worry—we didn’t disappear, get lost, or accidentally take a wrong turn back to Boston. 😂

Our trailer has been working hard for more than 10 years, and let’s be honest—the poor girl is tired! She desperately needed a complete makeover, a spa day, and probably a stiff drink.

We’re also giving her a whole new identity. We’re saying goodbye to the old black Bella Nonna trailer and transforming her into a bold red trailer with black trim, representing The Boston Slice & More! She’s trading in the little black dress for some loud Boston red—and she’s gonna look wicked sharp! ❤️🖤

We’ve been painstakingly cleaning, scraping, painting, repairing, and replacing old equipment to get her looking and working bettah than ever.

And when I say “we,” I mostly mean me—one guy, two hands, a tight budget, and a vocabulary that would make a Boston construction crew proud. 🔨😂

Money is extremely tight right now, especially since our generator recently decided to drop dead and retire without giving two weeks’ notice. Perfect timing, right? Wicked helpful!

Our goal is to have the interior finished by September 4, because we’re scheduled to return for the Spring Lake First Friday on Main Food Truck Event! The exterior makeover should be completed sometime around mid-November.

It’s taking a little time because I’m doing all the work myself and paying for everything as we go. But when she rolls back out, she’ll be cleaner, stronger, and looking wicked awesome!

We’ll be back out there soon—you can count on it! The pizza, roast beef, meatballs, loaded fries, chowda, and Boston attitude ain’t going anywhere!

Thank you for sticking with us while we give this hardworking old girl the makeover and spa day she deserves. We can’t wait to feed all you Massholes again!

🦞 WHAT MAKES A REAL NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER ROLL? 🦞

Alright, North Carolina — we gotta talk lobster rolls, because up in New England, we take this stuff wicked seriously.

At The Boston Slice & More, our lobster roll starts with about 6 ounces of REAL lobster meat. Not imitation seafood. Not a scoop of filler with three lonely pieces of lobster hiding in it.

We start with a whole chicken lobster — the smaller New England lobsters known for their sweet, tender meat. We boil it, cool it, crack it, and pick out the good stuff: claw, knuckle AND tail meat. 🦞

Then all that lobster gets piled — and we mean PILED — into our HOUSE-MADE New England-style split-top hot dog roll. We make the rolls ourselves because a proper New England lobster roll deserves a proper New England bun.

And here's something important:

🌊 Fresh lobster should taste like the ocean.

Sweet. Slightly briny. Clean. Fresh.

If somebody tells you lobster isn't supposed to have any taste of the sea, they've probably been eating lobster that's spent more time in a freezer than it ever did in the Atlantic. 😂

No tiny scoop buried under lettuce.
No seafood-flavored mystery meat.
No pretending.

Just 6 ounces of lobster, claw-to-tail, stuffed into a house-made New England roll.

You pick this thing up and lobster starts falling out the sides?

LOOKING FOR WING TESTERS. We have a new flavor we are working on and are looking for feedback: a spicy garlic, parm-basil similar to a pesto. Order an item, get 3 wings with our new flavor, or just say Cahhh the Boston way and get 1 wing free to try. All we ask is, please let us know how they were.

Our Masshole Fries ain’t some sad little side order hiding next to a sandwich. These things are a full-blown Boston food fight in a box:

The Boston Slice & More will be at Woodlake Country Club on August 18—and rumor has it somebody might be making a little trip to Boston beforehand and bringing back a few mysterious claw-shaped creatures. 🦞

That’s right… REAL lobster rolls are expected to be on the menu! Fresh New England lobster meat stuffed into those beautiful rolls like nature intended. No imitation seafood, no weird shortcuts, and no apologies.

🍟 **ALRIGHT, BOSTON SLICE FAM — WE GOT A SERIOUS FRIGGIN’ FRY DECISION TO MAKE.** 🍟

And apparently I can’t be trusted to make this decision myself. 😂

**CRINKLE CUT 🆚 STEAK FRIES — WHICH ONE STAYS?!**

Here’s the backstory…

When we started this crazy food adventure **8 years ago back in Massachusetts**, we were a **STEAK FRY** operation. Big, thick, wide fries. The kinda fry you can actually grab without needing tweezers. 😂

Then we moved from **Massachusetts down South**, and somewhere along the way we switched over to **CRINKLE CUT FRIES.**

And I’ll admit — there’s a damn good reason we like the crinkles.

🔥 **TEAM CRINKLE CUT:**
Those ridges aren’t just there to make the fry look wicked fancy. When we toss fries in garlic parm, Buffalo sauce, cheese sauce, gravy, or whatever other ridiculous thing we decide to throw on ’em, **those little ridges grab onto the sauce and HOLD IT.**

They’re basically tiny edible sauce snow tires. 😂

BUT THEN THERE’S MY OLD FAVORITE…

🥔 **TEAM STEAK FRY:**
Big. Thick. Wide. Crispy outside and fluffy potato inside.

And because they’re so damn wide, they’re PERFECT for **dipping, scooping, and holding toppings.**

A steak fry doesn’t politely dip into sauce.

**It brings half the damn sauce cup back with it.**

And when we’re loading fries with roast beef, chicken, cheese, bacon, gravy and all the other nonsense that comes outta our kitchen, that extra width starts looking pretty friggin’ useful.

So now we’re putting it to YOU.

🍕🦞🥩 SO… WHAT EXACTLY IS THE BOSTON SLICE & MORE? 🇺🇸

We get asked this a lot, so we figured it was time to explain exactly who we are.

We are NOT just a lobster roll truck.

We are NOT just a pizza truck.

We are NOT just a North Shore roast beef truck.

We are NOT just a steak tip truck.

We are THE BOSTON SLICE & MORE — and that “& MORE” is probably the most important part of our name.

Our whole idea is simple: bring the foods and flavors of Boston and New England down to North Carolina.

🍕 PIZZA — Big cheese and pepperoni slices plus rotating specialty slices and pizzas.

🦞 NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER ROLLS — Real lobster with tail, claw and knuckle meat served New England style.

🥩 NORTH SHORE 3-WAY ROAST BEEF — Tender roast beef piled onto our house-made onion rolls with American cheese, mayo and James River BBQ sauce.

🔥 NEW ENGLAND STEAK TIPS — Marinated beef tips cooked hot on the charbroiler, just like the steak tips we grew up eating back home.

🥣 NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER — Thick, creamy, hearty New England-style chowder loaded with clams and potatoes. Because if we're gonna call ourselves Boston, we'd better have some damn chowda. 😂

🍗 JUMBO WINGS — Crispy jumbo wings with Buffalo, BBQ, garlic Parmesan and rotating specialty sauces.

🍟 MASSHOLE FRIES — Crispy fries loaded with cheese, Buffalo chicken and bacon and finished with ranch. Definitely not health food. Definitely worth it.

🥪 CHICKEN PARM & OTHER BOSTON-STYLE SANDWICHES — Big portions, bold flavors and absolutely no intention of sending you home hungry.

But here's something important about our truck:

We are NOT A SINGLE-ITEM FOOD TRUCK.

That means you may see us at one event with lobster rolls, steak tips, pizza, roast beef and chowder — and another event may have a different combination.

We simply can't carry every single thing we make to every single event.

And lobster is a perfect example. 🦞

We're pretty damn picky about what we'll put our name on. Our lobster comes through our shipments and our regular trips back to the Boston/New England area to pick up products and ingredients.

So sometimes…

WE SELL OUT.

Sometimes we're between lobster shipments.

Sometimes an item isn't on that day's menu.

And sometimes the person standing in front of you buys the last one.

Don't blame us.

Blame that guy. 😂

What we DON'T want to do is turn The Boston Slice & More into a truck where we have to carry a cheaper substitute just so we can say an item is always available.

If we can't make it the way we want it made, we'd rather tell you:

“Sorry, kid. We're out.”

Because this truck isn't built around one sandwich.

It's built around Boston and New England food.

So if you see us advertising lobster rolls one week, that doesn't make us “the lobster roll truck.”

If we're slinging pizza the next weekend, we're not suddenly “just a pizza truck.”

And when the charbroiler is covered in steak tips, we didn't become “the steak tip truck.”

We're all of it.

That's why there's an “& MORE” on the end of the name.

If you see something on our menu that you really want…

ORDER IT.
