girlfriend, sent us the story behind his illustration!

“SO, ricky ( my boyfriend ) sent me one of your posts in June and asked me if i’d ever been to KDK’s. I confessed that I had not, but he hadn’t either and he asked me to try it with him. Of course I agreed. We ended up ordering one large loaded waffle fry and demolished it at the EZ mart down the street from where the truck was parked. Ricky was SO inspired by the waffle fries that a few days later he made art of the KDK’s chicken arm wrestling the Slim Chicken mascot. A month later we started dating and we both attribute it to the loaded waffle fries — and seriously we return as often as possible trying to eat waffle fries.”

A message from KDK’s owner, Keith Kidd. He is so thankful and so appreciate of the outpouring from our community. He wrote this yesterday after totally selling out of food.

First let me say I have been so emotional with everything going on. As a black owner today I was so overwhelmed at KDKS chicken. I have never seen the support like I did today. We ran completely out of food. We had to turn customers away and I hate doing that. God is so awesome. I want to thank the people of Fayetteville so much and know I appreciate every one. I LOVE YOU ALL . Thanks for supporting KDKS chicken.
