📣 Your voice matters, and we want it to be heard!
Our October VRC Family Meeting will be a special one! On Wednesday, October 7, from 11 AM to 2 PM, we will come together at the Vision Resource Center to kick off Blindness Awareness Month with an opportunity to advocate for ourselves.
From 11 AM to 12 PM, our Family Meeting will open with a Community Town Hall. Current candidates and public officials have been invited to attend and, most importantly, listen to YOU: Our members, and others in Cumberland County’s disability community.
This is your opportunity to share the experiences, needs, concerns, and requests that affect your everyday life. What barriers do you experience? What would make our community more accessible? What would you like community leaders to better understand about transportation, independence, inclusion, accessibility, or living with a disability?
Then, from 12 PM to 2 PM, our VRC members will continue with our regular monthly Family Meeting program.
