I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited Taste the Bayou and enjoyed my food. Your support means the world to me! Taste the Bayou will not be reopening as a restaurant, as it was a proof-of-concept that has served its purpose. As I near retirement, I am excited to announce that Taste the Bayou will continue to share its flavors as a food truck at local festivals. Thank you again for being part of this journey!

Hi all. To keep everyone up to date, we will not be open tomorrow 09/27. Getting equipment installed Friday and Saturday as well as getting ready for next weekend. I hope to have a video out soon to show off two news item that will be debuting at Frog Level. Over time I want to be open for 1 or 2 lunches during the week, an evening or two, and at least 1 Sunday lunch a month. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we try out new menu items. Thanks to all my customers for being patient while I figure this out.

Hello Fayette. This week I was hoping to be able to share a video of things to come but my surprise is not ready so everyone will need to wait just a little longer. We will be opened Saturday from 11-2 and will only be serving our number 1 seller, Shrimp Po'boys and Cotton Blues Cheesecake (Blueberry, Strawberry, Original, and Caramel). Don't worry our number 2 & 3 sellers, the Boudin Balls and bread Pudding are not going anywhere. There is a midweek plate lunch being planned. Stay tuned for more exciting changes coming soon. Hello Fayette. As I get ready for Saturday I want to bring everyone up to date. As a new business I am learning which items sell and which items don't sell. So we are no longer going to sell Roast Beef Po'boys (which is my favorite) or Coleslaw. This doesn't mean that they will never come back, just not for now. The Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese is also on the chopping block, but will still be available this Saturday. I will look to add new items to replace the ones that were removed. One more thing, help spread the word to check us out on FB before coming to make sure that we are open. I will do my best be open every Saturdays but things can come and I don't want anyone to waste time coming if I am closed. Our hours are Saturdays 11-2, with hopes to open on a weekday soon. Thanks for everyone that comes out. We will see y'all on Saturday.
