OK built the Tully Ging Co. Elevator #2 with a few minor mods, and rebranding (Fasco). The kit itself fits together very well overall, the instruction where probably good is you are fluent in midwest Grain Elevator terminology, I grew up on to***co and livestock farm so some of the terms and names I had to contact my customer for what's what and some stuff you just have to figure out as his regional terms was different from their terms. Not complaining at all, I rarely use directions anyway, give me a few pix and I'm off to the races, but alas most all of the available pix were of incomplete models so a little figuring and guesswork was involved.
Like I said I'm not complaining - I'm just giving you heads up if you know grain elevators should be gravy for you, if you don't might be a little frustrating at times. And to be honest I'm not sure I have it 100% correct... but it's just a model, always remember that when building any model kit or scratch, it's just a model don't get buried in the minutia you'll go crazy.
Overall very nice kit, very nice fit, nice detail, just needs to dumb down the direction a little more for simpletons like me that didn't grow up with grain elevators and silos and driers and unloading auger and legs and heads, and bin aerator and bin adapter and drag conveyor discharge and intermediate assorted other things I learned in addition to that different parts of the country call things by different names.
But nice job by Tully Models on this kit and it does come with a Ging Sign and lights I did not use opting for my own, cost of the kit I think was $365.00
