Before you sit down to Thanksgiving dinner, remember who put it there 🍁

Before the turkey is carved and the pie is passed around, take a moment to think about where it all came from.

Every potato, every carrot, every loaf of bread, every glass of milk on your table this weekend started with someone who got up before dawn to make it happen.

Canadian farmers don't get long weekends. The cows still need milking on Thanksgiving Monday. Harvest doesn't wait for good weather, and it doesn't wait for the holiday either. Right now, while most of us are gathering with family, many of them are still out in the fields, working long days to bring in the last of the crop.

They work through drought, flood, early snow and rising costs. They do it in the years when the harvest is good, and in the years when it breaks their hearts. And most of them will never ask for a thank you.

So this Thanksgiving, let's give them one anyway.

To every farmer, rancher, grower and farm family from British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador: thank you. Our tables are full because of you. 🇨🇦

Thanksgiving in Canada is a day to give thanks for the harvest. This year, let's remember the hands behind it.

Is there a farmer in your family, or one in your community you're thankful for? Tell us. ❤️

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada. 🌾
