🍧🎡 If you’ve been around the Freestone County Fair this week, you’ve probably seen us!

For years, Fairfield Shaved Ice has been part of Freeco fair week traditions, and now we’re bringing those same flavors to the fairgrounds through our mobile unit, Honey’s Shaved Ice.

Calling all 4-H families, participants, volunteers, and show fans—come cool off between shows and beat the heat with your favorite shaved ice. And when the sun goes down, we’re still here serving all night long!

Honey’s is owned by Megan Whyte—my mom, business partner, and lifelong teammate in all things ice. 😉🍧

This was taken at the end of the parade, and it’s a reminder of how beautiful our little town really is. From community traditions to skies like this, we’re grateful to call Fairfield home.

A little fun fact for those who may not know…

The owner behind Fairfield Shaved Ice is also your former Miss Freestone County’s Teen 2018. 👑🍧

Today, a few pageant queens stopped by for shaved ice before tonight’s pageant, and I couldn’t help but smile. It took me right back to getting ready for pageant day myself almost nine years ago.

As Fair Week gets closer, it’s been fun reminiscing about all the memories that make this community so special. Being able to grow up here, represent Freestone County as a teen, and now serve the same community through Fairfield Shaved Ice is something I’ll always be grateful for.

I want to wish the very best to all of the young ladies competing in the Miss Freestone County Pageant this week. Enjoy every moment, make memories, and remember that your worth is so much bigger than a crown.

And a huge congratulations to all of the young ladies who recently competed in the Miss Juneteenth Pageant as well. We are proud of each of you!

Here’s to another Fair Week and another generation of queens making Freestone County proud. 👑💙
