Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Caramel cookies feel right at home in the fall lineup. 🍎 Here's a closer look at that topping. If apple and cinnamon are your kind of flavors, I thought you might enjoy these.

The DorkE1 Delights costume fun starts tomorrow! 🎃 Simple, homemade, store-bought, or wonderfully over-the-top—you're welcome here.

HOW TO ENTER
October 1–November 1, 2026, at 8 PM Alaska time: add one costume photo and a costume title in the comments on this September 30 announcement on our page, facebook.com/Dorke1Delights. One entry per Facebook account. Trouble adding a photo? Message the Page. Instagram comments aren't entries.

Entry is free; no purchase, sharing, or friend-tagging required. Winners must be able to pick up their cookies in Fairbanks. A parent/guardian must submit children's photos. A group photo counts as one entry and one prize.

PRIZES
First, second, and third place each receive one free dozen cookies! Everyone who enters can receive a coupon for 20% off their whole order, sent to the submitting account through Facebook Messenger. It cannot be combined with other offers.

VOTING
November 2 at noon–November 4 at 8 PM Alaska time. I'll post one numbered Facebook voting album. Open a costume photo and react to it: one reaction per account per photo; you may support more than one costume. Only reactions on the original album photos count—not comments, shares, entry comments, or the album cover. The three highest totals win; I'll choose between tied entries. With fewer than three eligible entries, each receives one dozen. Winners announced November 6; pickup arranged privately by Messenger.

PHOTO PERMISSION
Include “I agree” with your entry: you have permission from everyone pictured (and guardians for children) for DorkE1 Delights to use the photo/title in this public voting album and winner announcement. DorkE1 Delights, not Meta, collects entries and uses the submitting account to administer the contest, coupon and prizes. Don't post private contact details.

By entering, you agree to these rules and fully release and hold Meta harmless from liability. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook or Instagram.

Sometimes you want to send a little kindness but aren't sure which treat they'd choose. 💜 Joy Infusion is my digital gift card, so they can do the choosing.

It comes by email, with values starting at $5. A thank-you, a birthday hello, or a little ‘thinking of you’—it doesn't have to be a big occasion.

A little something from the personal side of my kitchen. 🎂 This Chocolate Strawberry Cake was for the most recent birthday, and gave me another chance to play and practice with decorating.

Looking through my photos, apparently I make a lot of chocolate cakes! I'm still learning, and it's nice to share that part of the baking with you, too.

This was a personal project; decorated cakes aren't something I sell. For now, I'm enjoying the practice—and all that chocolate. 🤎

A little Alaska sky you can wear. 💚💜 The Northern Lights hoodie brings some aurora color to the DorkE1 Delights lineup, with a brushed-fleece inside for those cooler days.

If you've mostly visited for the cookie pictures, here's a peek at another part of the shop. Sizes and details are at dorke1.com—look for the Northern Lights Hoodie whenever you'd like a peek.

Howdy, everyone! 🎃 I'm bringing the DorkE1 Delights costume contest back this year, and I'm getting an earlier start so there's a little more time to join the fun.

Planning something elaborate? Pulling something together from the closet? Both are welcome. I'll share the entry details soon. For now, are you thinking spooky, silly, or still deciding?

A little pumpkin and chocolate to start the week. 🍪 These are my Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies, making an appearance as we head into fall. Whether you're ready for pumpkin season or still hanging on to summer, you're welcome here.

Howdy everyone!

I went on a bit of a kitchen adventure this week and wanted to share it with you!

I had the opportunity to bake a birthday cake for one of my coworkers, and she gave me complete creative freedom. Naturally... I ran with it. 😄

The result was a three-layer Yellow Cake wrapped in Chocolate Whipped Cream, coated in a rich Dark Chocolate Ganache, and finished with fresh raspberries and a little more Chocolate Whipped Cream for decoration.

I'm still not ready to start selling cakes (yet 😉), but I have to admit—it was a lot of fun stretching my baking muscles in a different direction. I even got some much-needed piping practice. Let's just say... my piping bag and I are still getting acquainted. 😂

One of my favorite things about baking is that there's always something new to learn. Whether it's cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes, or whatever crazy idea pops into my head next, every project teaches me something. That's part of the fun for me.

Speaking of trying new things...

Don't forget about my Mystery Monthly Cookie Box! For just $10 a month (pickup only), you'll get 6 surprise cookies, and sometimes they're flavors I'm experimenting with that may eventually earn a permanent spot on the menu. It's my favorite way to share new creations before anyone else gets a taste.

Thanks for letting me share another little baking adventure with you all!

The kitchen's always open at dorke1.com.
