Update to Post:
In response to our recent announcement to close the shop Wednesday 7/1-Tuesday 7/7 due to the heat, we’d like to offer some further clarification.
First, our current a/c systems in our shops are effective up to 90 degrees, after which the systems cannot keep up.
This coupled with our door being constantly open and our freezers having to work even harder to remain cool, causes the inside temperature to rise to that of the outside.
We are currently working to increase the cooling capacity of our shops, but felt that with projected temperatures to exceed 100-105 degrees this week the decision to close for business was the safe and prudent one to make.
Please know it was not one that was made lightly.
Secondly, this decision was made by myself and is not a reflection on our landlords,
who had no hand in this decision (as has been implied).
Finally, we want to thank all
of you who have expressed an understanding of our difficult decision.
We look forward to opening back up as quickly as possible.
Thank you.
