All good things must come to an end . . . And it seems we have come to the end of our "restaurant era". At the end of March, the White Oak Grill as we know it, will close, and the keys will be handed over to the new owner.
We are not disclosing the name of the new owner - that is their story to tell. We do not know when they are planning to reopen, but we do know that they are going to make some changes, and that will take some time. We do ask that you are patient and supportive of them when they do reopen!
You all have been so good to us over the last ten and half years . . . You were patient with us as we learned the ropes. We made mistakes and learned how to do better next time . . . we came to know you and you came to know us. Many of you are more like family than customers. You watched the kids grow up, you saw employees come and go, you helped us celebrate birthdays, graduations, anniversaries . . . And you gave us the honor of letting us be a part of your life as well. We watched you throw surprise birthday parties, celebrate engagements, weddings, anniversaries, births, graduations, good ball games, proms, homecomings, baby showers, class reunions, family reunions . . . and we saw many of you go through the death of a loved one, and we witnessed the bittersweet moments of a family gathering around a meal to reminisce and catch up with each other. We knew we were not just cooking a burger or a steak. We were part of your lives, and you were part of ours . . . and we are thankful for you!
And before the rumor mill hits hard with all the reasons for our change, please know that business was good and we still loved cooking for you and seeing you! Life brings changes, and we have known for quite some time that a shift was coming. We definitely feel that this was God's timing, and we are going with it. You guys gave us ten and a half great years, and you allowed us to live out a dream . . . how many people get to say they spent ten years working alongside their parents and their kids and got to meet a whole lot of great people in the process? I am one blessed girl!!
The end of the month will be here before we know it, so grab those gift certificates and come on in - we would love to see you one last time!
