Barbwire Barbecue is looking for hardworking, dependable people to join our kitchen team!

This can be a five-day-a-week position for the right candidate. We’re especially looking for someone with nighttime availability, including weekends, who is ready to work in a fast-paced, team-focused kitchen.

Starting pay is $17/hour, with final pay based on experience. We pay bi-weekly.

If you take pride in doing things right, can stay organized when it gets busy, and want to be part of a hometown team that works hard together, we’d love to meet you.

Today’s the day — it’s time to celebrate Ethan! 🎉

Ethan is an important part of our Barbwire family, working hard in our kitchen and bringing so much fun and joy to our team every day. He is also deeply involved in Special Olympics, competing in bowling, basketball, and swimming — where his hard work earned him a gold medal! 🥇

Today isn’t just a celebration of that incredible gold medal. It’s a celebration of Ethan’s years of dedication, determination, and heart. It’s also a chance for all of us to celebrate inclusion, support one another, and show what it means to be great community members.

Not only has Ethan made our Barbwire team more fun, but getting to know and work alongside him has helped all of us grow. He reminds us every day to lead with kindness, patience, understanding, and appreciation for what each person brings to the table. We couldn’t be more proud to make a big deal for Big E!

A public safety es**rt will begin around 11:40 a.m. and travel through Eudora before arriving at Barbwire. Once the es**rt arrives, join us from 12–3 p.m. to celebrate with Big E! Stop by for photos, autographs, ice cream, and plenty of well-deserved congratulations for Eudora’s Olympic gold medalist. 🥇

Our friends from Main St Scoops and Sweets will also be here serving ice cream, including Ethan’s favorite: Superman! 🍦

Plus, we’re donating 15% of all sales today to Douglas County Special Olympics — including dine-in, carryout, and online orders. Come celebrate Ethan, enjoy a meal and some ice cream, and help support an amazing cause!

🏅 THIS SUNDAY: Let’s line the streets of Eudora and celebrate Ethan in true gold-medal style! 🏅

Join us for Ethan’s special parade (load up time will be between 11:30am-11:45am for Ethan) through town as he makes his way to a surprise celebration at Barbwire. Bring your family, make some signs, wave your flags, and help us give Ethan an unforgettable hometown celebration!

Our friends at Farmers State Bank Eudora is okay with people hanging out in the lot (just don't park in the grass) —come hang out, cheer loudly, and watch Ethan travel through the city on the parade route. Check out the route map below so you can find your perfect viewing spot!

When the parade arrives at Barbwire, the celebration continues with photo opportunities and autographs with Ethan—so be sure to come celebrate, snap a picture, and congratulate our hometown champion! 🎉

We’re all set up and just about ready to have a GREAT time serving up some seriosuly good food alongside our friends at The Omni Truck!🌭🔥

Tonight is packed with fun at the Main Street Market, happening until 9 PM inside the gym, with LIVE MUSIC just outside near the old Babe Ruth Field! 🎶

🦆 And don’t forget about the Annual Duck Derby at 7:45 PM! There are still plenty of ducks available to adopt, with proceeds helping support the Kurt Von Achen Scholarship Fund. 🐥💛
