We will NOT be at Erie Federal Credit Union on Peach street today from 11am until 1pm. Although we have email confirmation with them earlier this week, they informed us just now they were not aware we were scheduled but could advertise now. 2 hours before.
This has been happening so much this season. To show up to an event and have everyone say "oh didnt know you would be here " oh well we do our part. Preparing for hours, scheduling employees, following up and confirming events. We will not participate in events who do not set us up for success. We get asked by hundreds of events for the same times and days. When we have you booked and confirmed and denied multiple other events to show up for our commitment and waste our time, energy, and money that is not ok. We do 3-5 events a day multiple catering and food truck events. We are experienced, open, and honest about our expectations. We DO NOT SELL OUT no matter how busy or how many events. Loading up an event with food trucks because one sold out is not the solution. Don't scehdule that food truck then and do some research and schedule a food truck more suitable for your event needs.
This is not a hobby this is a HARD WORKING SMALL BUSINESS. This is our whole life. Showing up to events with sooo many food vendors when there should only be ONE FOOD TRUCK. You want a variety you ask the ONE FOOD TRUCK you invited to provide hot dogs or anything additional. You dont schedule multiple incase one cancels or sells out. 20% of the estimated number is guaranteed to eat. Say 1,000 people should have 2 maybe 3 food trucks that compliment each other. These events with 250 people and wanting 3-5 food trucks is not fair to any of us to split sales and waste our time and prep. That's why food trucks sell out because events dont understand how to provide true success in our food truck world and they ignore the communicated experience when provided with it. We can average 100 people an hour. We choose what events we participate in. People who just want to know our availability with no information for us to make the decision. That is not how it works in business. We will gladly inform anyone of our experienced information when needed. Once again this is a business not a hobby.
