📢 Red Rooster Cafe Update 📢

We will be closed this Saturday the 13th as our family celebrates a very special occasion—my college graduation! 🎓

We will also be closed Sunday the 14th for a private event at the cafe.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as I balance school, family, and the cafe. This milestone would not have been possible without our wonderful customers, staff, friends, and family who have supported me along the way.

We will reopen on Thursday, June 18, and look forward to serving you then!

Looks like all of Enterprise is starting the day a little differently this morning! ⚡️

The Red Rooster Café is currently without power along with the rest of town, so we’re waiting for electricity to be restored before we can open and serve breakfast.

Thank you for your patience. We know outages are frustrating, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone in for a hot meal and a fresh cup of coffee as soon as we’re able.

We’ll post updates as we know more!

My dad, Robert W. Gardner, flew over 300 missions in Vietnam. He passed away in 2010, and we have a bench at the Fountain of Honor in Enterprise in remembrance of him. It features a B52 in the BBC Air Force section.

The cafe will be closing today at noon so a few of us are able to attend a really good friend/ customer of ours! James will be dearly missed here at the Red Rooster Cafe!

James Runnels, 78, of Milton-Freewater, formerly of Joseph, passed away on January 2, 2026 at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held at Loveland Funeral Chapel, Enterprise, on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 2:00pm. Casual dress is preferred by the family.

James was born on July 26, 1947, in Baxterville, Mississippi, to Walter Runnels and Lillie May (Napier) Runnels.

After graduating from high school, James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. Upon returning home in 1969, he married Terry Kelly. Together they had three children. The marriage later ended in divorce.
