A little Founders Club check-in. 🌿

Things have been moving a little more quietly lately, but the goal hasn’t changed.

We’re still looking carefully at where these funds can make the biggest difference at Fern’s. We’re still working with one oven, some of our very well-loved chairs are ready for retirement, and there are plenty of less-glamorous improvements that would make everyday service better for both our team and our guests.

We’re taking our time because we want every dollar to matter.

To everyone who has already become a Founding Member, thank you. And if you’ve been thinking about joining us, the door is still very much open.

The best chapters are still ahead.

Our mornings here in the kitchen at Ferns, start out calm and quiet. Reminds me of growing up, Saturdays and Sundays were slow and easy. Listening to the news on a clock radio in the kitchen. That’s how we felt this morning while prepping Brunch. Except! This morning these Blueberry Waffles are incredible and we are all so excited to share them with you today!

Well, well, well… look who’s back. 👀🏆

Best of Ellis County 2026 nominations are open.

Last year, you wonderful people nominated Fern’s in several categories and then somehow went and helped us WIN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

No pressure or 47 daily reminders from us this year. 😅 We’re incredibly proud of those wins, and even more grateful that they came from people who actually eat here, gather here, bring their families here, and continue to choose Fern’s.

So, if there’s something you think we do particularly well, throw our name in the hat.
