Dear When in Rome: : I just put this review in Yahoo!...Thank you for Saturday night. It was beautiful: My husband and I first visited this restaurant about 12 years ago when we had only been together for a year, and were enchanted by the ambiance, the service, and the beauty of the freshly-grown herbs and produce that graced our plates. It was one of the best dates we had ever experienced, but we could not remember the name of the restaurant. We spent many years trying to find it again, as we live about an hour away, and could not find the restaurant until the film WHEN IN ROME was released, and I thought, \"This must be the place!\" We looked it up and realized it was. After 12 years of marriage, I felt like we were back where we started and I remembered why I fell in love in the first place. The caprese was spectacular, as the tomatoes and basil were grown in their garden. The recipes are all handed down and are multi-generational, from what I\'ve heard. The wine list is extensive, and the saltimbocca is to die for...each bite was tender and I could tell the finest ingredients were used and the dish was prepared with love and hope...hope that they can convey their love for food and for their clientele... It is owned by a couple, and they both seem very sweet. Maybe if your romance needs a boost, take your loved one here. Every aspect of the restaurant will make you feel loved. Enjoy!
