B Bar Ranch welcomes you to our guest and cattle ranch in Tom Miner Basin and Big Timber, Montana Both skate-ski lanes and classic tracks are maintained daily.

Established in 1906 and promoting sustainability the B Bar today manages a herd of Ancient White Park cattle (from which organic, grass-finished beef is sold throughout Montana). We welcome guests and groups throughout the year who utilize the ranch for activities ranging from meetings and retreats to workshops and weddings. Our guests dine on western gourmet meals in the homey and historic dining

room, where our resident chef creates a variety of feasts. Ranch-raised organic beef is a feature of our healthy and diverse menus. In the winter months, we groom 20–30 kilometers of trails for cross-country ski and snowshoe enthusiasts. Our conditions predictably offer blue wax conditions much of the winter. With advanced notice and an additional charge, we are happy to arrange guided ski and snowshoe tours, dog-sledding and provide ski lessons on the ranch.

Last winter we had the privilege of working with Montana’s Yellowstone Country and Windfall to create a Montana Backstories video about B Bar Ranch.

Together we learn about Maryanne Mott’s vision for stewarding two ranches in Tom Miner Basin and Big Timber, Montana. She is dedicated to the well-being of the land, the animals, and the guests who spend time here.

With some enticing snowy scenes, we look forward to the winter ahead. Enjoy!

Friends and Family week over the 4th of July was a blast! 🇺🇸

It’s a beautiful privilege to gather with loved ones in such a special place. This year we pulled out all the stops from boot scootin’ at the Livingston Roundup, to floating the Yellowstone River in wooden dories, horseback riding to the overlook, hiking up Ramshorn Peak, quenching our thirst at the Old Saloon, and too many rounds of fish bowl.

If you need suggestions on how to make your retreat here special, we’ve got an idea or two up our sleeve. Trust me, it’s better to retreat with us than be a cardboard cutout wishing you had!

Repost from Matthew about dinner service for a retreat group last night. Our mouths are watering! 🤌

"Pretty pumped about my dinner service tonight: Started dinner service with marinated heirloom tomatoes, arugula salad, shaved asiago with a herb and champagne vinaigrette. Main course options were chickpea pasta in velvet alfredo sauce with a spinach, spring peas and asparagus topped with parmesan cheese or pan seared Alaskan salmon, brown butter parsnip mash, beet purée, and asparagus. Dessert was my grandmother’s tiramisu. Hungry?"
