We may be one of the only locally owned restaurants around that doesnโt charge a credit card fee or a To-Go box fee or a fee for a feeโฆ ๐
And yes, we know those things cost us money - just like the cost of food, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, hand towels, gloves, utilities, payroll, etc. Those are all standard costs that come with owning this type of business. ๐ก
Wisconsin businesses can add a surcharge to credit card transactions, but there are regulations surrounding how those fees can be applied. ๐ณ Know this: Debit cards cannot be surcharged. ๐ณ
With all those regulations, we just choose not to participate in that game.
No credit card fee. No debit card fee. No To-Go box fee. No nickel and diming.
Now, if you ask for something extra โ extra tartar, extra cheese, extra ingredients, etc. โ thatโs above and beyond our standard menu price, and yes, we do charge for those. ๐ With our already lower-than-average prices, we keep track of what comes out of that kitchen! ๐ซถ
At the end of the day, we want you to come to Elroy Eatery, order what you want, pay however you want (preferably in cash ๐) and enjoy your meal without wondering what surprise fee is going to show up at the bottom of the receipt. ๐ฅ
Thatโs just how we choose to do business. ๐ฅฐ
