With Fair week well under way, it seems quite fitting to share . . .
Though many at Christy's Corner Cafe' know her as "Miss Karen" (pictured with son Nicholas), outside of the cafe' she is also known as a respected leader in Ohio's cattle industry. As a lifelong advocate for youth in agriculture, Karen has devoted decades to the Hereford breed and the livestock industry through Holley Cattle Company and her extensive volunteer leadership. She has served as both former & current Jr. Advisor for the Buckeye Hereford Association (BHA), helping develop the next generation of ag leaders. Her commitment extends to 4-H where she has mentored countless youth through hands-on learning, leadership and livestock education. In 2024, Karen along with her husband Lynn, were inducted into the Buckeye Hereford Hall of Merit, one of the association's highest honors, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the Hereford breed, youth development and OH ag. Karen's passion for service, agriculture, and investing in young people continues to make a lasting impact across Ohio's beef cattle community and beyond.
