One of our very favorites.

Gordon Falt of The Somes Sound will make his debut on UK radio tomorrow afternoon.

Gordon, with a variety of players, has been able to seamlessly blend organic instruments with a genre-defying vibe that is both familiar and refreshingly exciting.

His boundary-pushing hybrid features rock'n'oll and traditional country music fueled by enthusiasm, rebellion and self-reflective psychological depth, while his aggressive guitar playing and singing are deeply expressive.

Vocally he can float around melodies with "fever dream" quality while his leads and rhythm, the work of two guitar players, collide with great precision.

Spending the past year on the road, the band has yet to land in the studio to refine the collection of demos Gordon hastily records in between shows.

The track "Broke In Two," being played on www.sinefm.com by DJ Dazz in Doncaster, on Wednesday at 4pm EST, is one such song. It is not a song Gordon often plays live. It represents his unique arrangement style, and highlights how he can weave intricate layers and musical styles together.

As we all know, his live shows are loose, rakish, and bursting with ragged energy. Rather than chasing polished pop perfection, Gordon captures artistic re-invention over commercial predictability, with a romantic yearning for simpler times.

We need a little country music right now.

Will Wesley is a Country Rock and Americana artist. A storyteller whose sound blends a soulful edge with country rock energy into heartfelt storytelling.

Born in Baker, Louisiana, Wesley was raised with a rebellious spirit and a love for music inspired by his father’s guitar. By age 15, he was sneaking into bars to perform with a beat-up six-string and a fire that would soon define his music career.

His talent earned him the reputation as one of Louisiana’s fiercest young guitarists. Today he crosses over from blues prodigy to full-fledged country-rock and Americana artist.

Wesley tours across the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia, performing everywhere from intimate listening rooms to international stages, including the Switzerland International Country Music Hall of Fame and the Jackson, Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.

He shared stages with many including Alabama, RVSHVD, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Redd Volkaert, When In Rome, Old Crow Medicine Show, Scotty McCreery, and Hailey Whitters.

Known for his humility and heart, he continues to give back by performing at Veterans’ events and outreach programs — bringing the healing power of music to. those who need it most, and we are proud to have him with us at Black Moon Public House.

We love local history and lore at Black Moon.

Before we found the JJ Newberry building we were visiting Grange Halls in the area and were considering a more rural setting for Black Moon.

Fortunately, other people are bringing new life to the Grange Halls. One of our favorites is the Mariaville Grange.

There's big doings there this Saturday. Take a ride out and enjoy and evening of live music for one of their first dances in years!
