The other night I had a chance to spend some time in the dining room, talking with guests, answering questions about the menu and just enjoying the energy of a busy night at Provender. It’s something I wish I had more time to do.
Even after all these years, it never gets old.
Seeing a dining room full of people enjoying our food, being taken care of by our staff, laughing with friends and family and simply having a great night together is still one of the best parts of what we do.
Are we perfect every night? Of course not. Mistakes happen. But there are a lot more great nights than imperfect ones, and getting to actually stand back and watch those experiences happen reminds me why we put so much into this place.
Restaurants are hard. They require a tremendous amount of time, energy and sacrifice. But then you walk through the dining room and see a table celebrating something special, a couple enjoying a night out, or familiar faces that have been coming through our doors for years.
And suddenly the answer to “Why do you still do this?” becomes pretty simple.
This is why.
To everyone who has supported Provender over the years, thank you. And to those who have only recently found us, we hope you’ll become one of those familiar faces we’re still seeing years from now.
Gratefully,
Daron + Joy
