omemade dough, a special pizza sauce, and fresh vegetables and meats. Often times, our customers will ask us if there is sugar in our sauce because of its sweet, tangy flavor, but we never ever use sugar in our recipe. Instead, we combine basil, oregano, salt, garlic, tomatoes and several other secret spices and then mix it to perfection. After that, we refrigerate the sauce for a few hours to let the delicious spices come together. Pizzarelli's pizza sauce is a small piece of history – it's been in the family for over four generations. We offer several different types of crusts including Chicago Thin & Crispy, New York Hand Tossed and Chicago Deep Dish. The New York Hand Tossed dough recipe comes straight from the Bronx area of New York City – it's the crust Pizzarelli's is known for! The Chicago Thin & Crispy and the Chicago Deep Dish come from a family recipe and have become a delicious tradition. For each of our doughs, ingredients are combined and then mixed with flour and other spices to create the perfect consistency. The dough is then removed from the mixer, cut, measured and folded individually. Afterwards, the dough sits for a minimum of 24 hours to ensure the best taste possible. Meats like flavorful sausage and bacon are cooked fresh every morning. We grate and grind our very own Grande mozzarella (the king of cheeses) every day. The pizza is then baked in a 500-degree oven and cooked to a golden brown! We certainly can't forget about our hot wings! They are crispy, full of meat and coated with our special homemade hot sauce. Our pasta and calzones are made with our famous marinara sauce, another family recipe. Our tasty marinara sauce is cooked with fresh garlic and spices, and simmered on low heat for hours.
