hey y’all, letting you know that the shop will be closing, for the most part, effective immediately. after a lot of reflection, i’ve also decided not to renew the lease when it ends in october of this year.
after much thought and many conversations, and taking a hard look at how my life has evolved outside of the shop, i’ve realized i can’t keep bootstrapping this thing along, or keep giving the kind of energy it deserves, to make it work in its current form.
it has genuinely been one of the great pleasures of my life to put this space together and welcome you all into it. more than anything that was ever on the menu, i’m most proud of and grateful for the friendships made and the love shared inside the walls of this little shop. i don’t think i can fully put into words what this place and sharing it with all of you has meant to me.
tim, rocket, anna, otto, srah, mom, and libby – i have no idea how i got so damn lucky in getting to work alongside and getting to know each of you. thank you for helping me keep this thing on the tracks, and always doing it with a sense of pride and a smile on your face. it wouldn’t have been nearly as special without you.
i’m not sure what comes next, but I’m going to take a step back for now and focus on this new journey of being a dad, and hopefully the rest will fall into place from there.
