Hello everyone! ❤️ Hope everyone is doing well!
I wanted to hop on here with a little Spooner’s update because I’ve had several people asking me almost daily what’s going on.
Here’s the honest truth: I have leased the building, and the people taking it over do intend to purchase it completely in the near future. As far as what’s coming next, I really don’t have much to update you on, and I don’t want to give out information that may change.
I was originally told the plan was to continue offering food and ice cream, so for now that’s what I know. 😂 I do know other ideas have been discussed, but I’m not involved in those decisions, so I’m not making any promises about what it will ultimately become. I guess we’ll all find out together!
I had originally planned to help out as needed, but life is taking me in a little different direction right now. I’m enjoying getting to watch my nieces and nephews play sports, watching Penelope cheer, working on some other community events, and most importantly, focusing on my health and being present for my family. ❤️
I may still jump in and help if they’re ever in a bind and need someone, but otherwise I’m officially stepping back. Because of that, I won’t be the one giving updates about Spooner’s going forward.
What I CAN tell you is that the people taking over are genuinely good people. They’re excited about bringing a nice family business to Ellington and offering something positive for our community.
What exactly will that business consist of? Well… I guess we’ll all have to wait and see. 😂❤️
I wish them nothing but success, and I’m excited to see what they bring to our little town!

Praise report on Dylan Marler

He got to the LTAC (stage down from ICU) hospital about 12:45 yesterday he stayed awake the whole ambulance ride there, and was awake most of the day. Therapy came in and worked with him right away and speech therapy. They will work with him daily in therapy. He had a good night he did get his heart rate up to like 110 but he wasnt able to get it down on his own. Rehab will be the next step after he accomplishes what he needs to at LTAC.

I know inquiring minds want to know, and I know there have been a lot of rumors and speculation, so I wanted to share an update.
We have officially leased the Spooner's building! The new tenants do plan to continue offering soft-serve and hand-dipped ice cream. Beyond that, I'm not completely sure what all their plans are yet. There's a lot of construction and preparation happening right now, so stay tuned for more updates and new adventures for Spooner's.
I also want to apologize to any of our local community members who may have been interested in leasing the building. We honestly weren't aware there was local interest. When I contacted the realtor to list it, these folks were already in her mind, and that's the direction everything went. We truly appreciate everyone's support and understanding.
Thank you all for your continued love and support of Spooner's. We can't wait to see what the future holds!

My sweet girl handed out her payments today. ❤️ She was able to give Emma and Dani $50 each, and she was so proud to do it.
Watching her choose kindness, generosity, and compassion at such a young age fills my heart. She reminds me every day that even the smallest hands can make the biggest difference.
We are truly blessed beyond measure. Thank you to everyone who supported her and helped make this possible. Your generosity is making a difference in more lives than you know. 💙💛

80.00 raised to help Dylan Marler Penelope is still waiting for some money to arrive from her trampoline funds as well once we get the total money will be given to Emma Griffith and to Dani Cowin. Thank you all for the shares. This will at least be gas money for 1 trip for each of them. Penelope is so happy she got to help her buddy Dylan out. The pictures were also donated back to Dylan to be placed in his room. 💜🩵 keep praying for our boy.
