It’s that time a year again. Be watching for our 2nd year chili cook off It will not be on Halloween this year with trade day!! Figuring out dates and will post when we know. We will make it for a Weeknd that way more people hopefully can come join us this year. In the mean time I will be looking for judges that can be fair. Already got one locked in. This is just a heads up so you can start planning.

Beginning November 1st in Missouri, you can ride the “Fall Foliage Tour” aboard the Iron Mountain Railway in Jackson for a two-hour trip through the Southeast Missouri countryside. The railway uses passenger cars built in 1926, giving the ride an old-fashioned feel as you travel along the historic tracks. With windows that can be opened, you can enjoy the cool fall air while watching colorful woods, open countryside, and rural scenery pass by. The train travels from Jackson toward Gordonville before returning to the depot, giving you plenty of time to sit back, take photos, and enjoy Missouri’s late fall color. The railway is run entirely by trained volunteers and serves as a traveling history museum. Snacks are available at the Whistle Stop Depot and at a small snack bar aboard the train, and you can also bring your own non-alcoholic food and drinks. The 2026 Fall Foliage Tours run November 1st, 8th, and 15th at 1:00 PM. Passengers should arrive 30 minutes to an hour before departure for check-in and boarding. Reservations can be made via the Iron Mountain Railway.
