Dear Family and Cherished Friends,
We recently marked our 50th anniversary as the Tersiguel restaurant family. Our family has grown with yours over the years, and our relationships with you have been the driving force for our success. We have evolved over the years, and we have so many cherished memories with you our guests as well as our employees – who have always been like family to us. As the adage goes, all good things must come to an end. We made the decision a little more than a year ago that it was time to seek a buyer for the building and the business. We will be closing this December. Our hearts are full of joy for the next chapter for our family, and we are thrilled that our dear friends Nathan Sowers and Kimberly Kepnes will be in this special space.
Nathan came to work for us in 2004. He showed up at the kitchen backdoor with his toddler in hand – one of our greatest joys has been on the sidelines of watching Nathan’s two children, Ainsley and Adam, grow into stunning adults. Time really does fly when you are living life. Nathan carved a home for himself in our kitchen. He did so with integrity, hard work, and his family as his priority. He created a job that we had previously never had before – baker. Our guests and staff alike grabbed onto his bread and talents and never wanted to let go.
In 2016, the kitchen Nathan worked in was destroyed. While it weighed incredibly heavy on our hearts, we knew we could not properly nor financially replace the bakery as it is still affectionately known, and we had to let Nathan go.
We have watched his talents over the years establishing Pressed for Thyme, River House Pizza and The Inn at Mount Ida, and we are thrilled that his talents and love will return to 8293 Main Street.
While Tersiguel’s the name will live on our hearts, its building is about to gain the kindest, most generous and talented caregivers in Nathan and Kimberly. We could not be more honored to pass this torch to them. We know they will hold your celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, graduations, showers, retirements, and more dear to their hearts, as well as your losses when saying goodbye.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for entrusting us with your special occasions, your memories, your families over these fifty years. We will miss you dearly, and we never could have achieved what we did without you.
We look forward to seeing many of our friends in the coming months, along with sharing our memories of the past 50 years.
