I have been very busy over the past 3 weeks dealing with storm damage and trying to re-open the restaurants and haven't had the opportunity to thank everyone for their service and donations to keep Elk River Depot up and running to feed our community at no charge.
First, I want to thank the First Responders, Search and Rescue the Linemen and so many others who, without asking brought their heavy equipment out at their expense to clear roads, rebuild bridges and cut trees so we could all get out of our houses.
Secondly, I wanted to personally acknowledge the anonymous donations and the others who gave so graciously that we could purchase adequate winter clothing and allowing us to continue to buy food while we were feeding the community.
