Well guys...here it goes...
A little over ten years ago life brought myself, Anika and Kamarie to this community and to The Southern. In reflection of the past ten years my little trio has laughed, cried and laughed some more. Far too many memories with what instantaneously became family after family after family each time the door opened. Our family! Over the years our family has grown abundantly. Each and every one of you touching our hearts. Many of you have watched my girls grow from little girls "playing restaurant" to young adults finding their own way. I am so very grateful to have been able to share that with you, as the impact many of you have had on them and myself has been immense. I couldn't thank you all enough for taking us in and allowing us to take you in! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🥰
Now for the hard part....
If you know me personally, you know my two girls are my world! My every day motivation has always been them, providing the best I could for them and instilling the importance of kindness, hard work, dedication and determination. I've successfully accomplished it!! Now as they have spread their wings, this momma is spreading hers. I'm not exactly sure what lies ahead but if I don't chase after it, I'll never know. One thing I do know, The Southern and all our community family has given our lil trio an abundant life, filled with love, laughter, forever friendships and forever memories. These four walls hold a special place in our hearts, they have been home to us. Ya'll made it home for us. I hope to see these four walls find another heart to embrace as it has mine. With a whirlwind of emotions and a selfish excitement for new ventures ahead I am sad to announce The Southern Restaurant will be closing Sunday September 17th at 2 pm or when we run out of product. My trio reunites this weekend as Anika is flying in to see Ya'll and share her love for you and memories one last time. We three started this journey together and will close this chapter together with much gratitude. Please come share the Southern table and memories one last time with us❤️. Past employees please drop by, let us catch up one last time!
Thank you to everyone that has taken part in the magic of The Southern. Thank you to each and every employee along the way. You all played a part in our growth. I've always said, "It's not just about serving food." It's been fellowship, community and family! Much love to you all💕💕
In finish...don't be afraid of change, embrace it, and never stop chasing it.
With endless love and gratitude,
Ava, Anika & Kamarie
