Happy Tuesday and good morning from Granite City Coffee Coš¤š a little before and after on a lovely medium roast on some single origin Columbian š«
Over the weekend and as I was dropping off samples yesterday, I had a lot of questions about how Granite City Coffee Co works! Letās go over the 2 main things.
The first question is where will we be opening our coffee shop?
We will NOT be opening a physical coffee shop! We will be opening a coffee ROASTERY. What is a coffee roastery you ask? A coffee roastery is essentially the supplier/final phase of your coffee beans/grounds. Your coffee roaster has green, unroasted coffee beans delivered through an importer and then roasts them. You can either get these as whole beans after roasting or grounds. (Weāll get to that part in a sec). The grounds and coffee beans that you get directly from your roaster produces the freshest cup of coffee you can get. Often times your beans are roasted the day of or the day prior to pick up/shipping. When you receive them, youāre at peak freshness and flavor. While we are not the only ones that offer fresh roasted coffee beans, we are the only one in our areaš If you are looking for a local coffee shop, we absolutely love and support Home Sweet Home Elberton and Koffie & Express-O! They are both locally owned and have something for everyone. We frequent both of them and we love supporting local businesses.
The second question is āif I donāt have a grinder, what do I do with these beans?ā I can absolutely grind them for you!! When youāre discussing the amount of coffee you want, just let me know that you want them ground and I can absolutely take care of that for you!
Thank you all for supporting us, we actually have another shipment of green beans coming in this week. So if you want to try some coffee, letās chat!! Feel free to DM this page, email me or give me a call!
