Spring Cookies & Cards event was amazing!!! We made the cutest cookies and then learned how to make amazing stamped cards all while enjoying meeting new people, laughing and networking.

This was pure women supporting women and I loved every minute of it!

I heard this quote today, "you can't control the wind, but you can adjust your sails" and it really stuck with me. The past few days of world events have stirred up a lot of emotions in me (fear, anxiety, gratitude, guilt, confusion, anger, etc.) If I allow my emotions and the storms/chaos/war happening to dictate my life and my faith I'm doomed.

We serve a sovereign God. His understanding, His plans are greater than my understanding. Storms will come, but we can adjust our sails and look to God for strength, peace, and comfort. I don't have to have the answer to trust in the one who does, so I'm adjusting my eyes to Him. I'm commanding my heart and mind to stay fixed on Jesus instead of the news, my worries, my circumstances, etc. and I'm not allowing my emotions to change my posture of faith.

Tonight I just want to encourage you to adjust your sails toward Him.

A worship song to get you through the rest of the week is "Firm Foundation."

This week my daughters class performed Frozen Jr! In light of that, here's a throwback to these Frozen birthday cookies!

We are commanded to LOVE, but what does this look like? It's an action word, so what are the tangible things you are doing to show love to those around you? Even harder question for many of us, what are you doing to show love to those you find HARD to love? The people who have different values than you, or different lifestyles, the person/group who hurt you, the ones who don't show love to you. I just want to encourage you to be introspective this month about what love looks like in Action and how you can be more intentional to take even small steps to show love to those in your circle, but also those you find harder to love. This can look like meeting a tangible need you see someone has, calling to check in on a friend you know is going through a hard time, showing grace to someone who is always saying the wrong thing, forgiveness, etc.

Remember that God loved us in all of our MESS and was patient with us as we turned our lives over to him, so we can show this same grace and mercy to others.
