As a Navy Wife, I'll always love making Navy cookies and celebrating the accomplishments in our community! Here's a recent set from a promotion celebrating CDR Lewis from one ot my fav long term customers Kelli!!

I'm also so happy for the families getting to see their loved ones again after such a long deployment this week!!! So thankful for their safe return and praying God continues to cover them as they acclimate to home and He is with them as they address their health and mental health that may have been impacted during their time away.

I've gone through several emotions this week as I've learned more details of this sexual assault case at Cornell. I'm angry, I'm disgusted, I'm sad and I've had to ask God what to do with all of these negative feelings so they don't consume me. In turning to Him, one thing I did this week was write down prayers for my son and his friends. That God gives me the wisdom to raise a son who protects women and isn't silent when he is witnessing wrong doing. A son who can stand on his convictions and focused on loving like Jesus and not fitting in with the wrong crowds.

God,
Remind our sons to be strong and courageous. Remove the fear of man and peer pressure from their hearts. When they face hard choices, give them a backbone of steel. Help them to speak up when they see wrong. Do not let them stay silent when other people's feelings, safety or security are on the line. Give them a deep love for holiness and justice. Help them to reject toxic crowds and dark temptations. When others go along with evil or cruelty, let our young men stand apart. Make them protectors of the vulnerable, men of clean hands and pure motives who refuse to compromise their honor. The world is loud and confusing, but Your voice is true. Give them discernment to know the difference between right and wrong instantly. Give them wisdom to walk away from toxic situations before compromise happens. Let the Holy Spirit guide their steps every single day.
