Important info for closures on Saturday. Don’t forget to take a stroll down Main Street to support your local businesses!
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Whether you are heading to the Edwardsville Rotary Criterium on Saturday or just needing to navigate around it, we've got some downtown Edwardsville road closures for you to be aware of. The course will close at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, and is not expected to reopen until midnight that evening. 🚴♀️ 2026 COURSE: The race route starts next to City Park (101 S. Buchanan) on South Buchanan Street (heading north) and then turns west onto East Vandalia Street, then south onto South Main Street, east onto East Schwarz Street and then north on South Buchanan to the start/finish line.
⚠ ROADS CLOSED: For the safety of the cyclists and the crowd, intersections will be blocked to vehicular traffic at the four turns along this year's route:
🚧 North Buchanan and East Vandalia Street
🚧 North Main and West Vandalia Street
🚧 South Main and West Schwarz Street
🚧 East Schwarz and South Buchanan Street
⚠ DETOUR SIGNS: To navigate around these closures, please follow the detour signs on the roads leading up to the course (watch for "road closed ahead" signs at the last turn ahead of a closure).
🎉 PARTY IN THE PARK: On Friday night, August 14, enjoy food, beverages and music in City Park, 101 S. Buchanan Street. The event runs from 5-10 p.m., while the band performs starting at 6 p.m.
🎉 RACE DAY ENTERTAINMENT: City Park will once again feature music, food and beverages (and a great location to watch the races) from 2-11 p.m. Saturday.
🌽🍑DON'T MISS THE MARKET: The Land of Goshen Community Market will relocate for Saturday's market to Lewis and Clark Community College's N.O. Nelson campus, 600 Troy Road. It runs from 8 a.m. to noon!
