Jeffrey Salcedo, International Business Development Consultant, attended the MOU signing between COSTEP and CCIES in Reynosa, Mexico.

The agreement brings together 24 higher education institutions—13 in northern Tamaulipas and 11 in South Texas—to align academic programs, laboratories, certifications, and research with the evolving needs of industry.

This collaboration strengthens the connection between education and workforce development while supporting investment attraction and regional competitiveness across the Rio Grande Valley and northern Tamaulipas.

The partnership marks an exciting new chapter for Los Lagos Golf Course and Ebony Hills Golf Course, bringing Troon's expertise in golf course management to enhance the golfer experience, strengthen operations, and support the long-term success of these community assets.

We had a great time at National Night Out! 💙🎒

Thank you to the Edinburg Police Department for inviting us to be part of this wonderful back-to-school event. It was great to see our community come together as the City of Edinburg provided backpacks, while various departments and organizations helped prepare students for the new school year with school supplies.

The Edinburg EDC was proud to hand out backpack charms featuring words of affirmation—a small reminder to help students stay confident, positive, and motivated throughout the school year.

The Edinburg EDC team joined Mayor Omar Ochoa and municipal leaders from across South Texas for the South Texas Alliance of Cities (STAC) Quarterly Mayors Meeting during its visit to UTRGV.

Chasse Conque, Senior Vice President and Director of Athletics, presented highlights from the 2025–2026 UTRGV Athletics Annual Report, showcasing the Athletics Department's continued growth through facility enhancements, student-athlete academic success, and the expanding economic impact of Vaquero Athletics.

A highlight of the presentation was the incredible success of the Vaqueros' inaugural 2025 football season, which generated an estimated $144.3 million in total economic impact and welcomed more than 100,000 visitors to Edinburg at Robert & Janet Vackar Stadium. These milestones underscore the significant role UTRGV Athletics plays in strengthening tourism, driving economic development, and fostering community pride throughout the region.

We are proud to support opportunities that strengthen regional partnerships, celebrate the success of UTRGV, and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of our community.
