Happy Friday!

I'm following up on my note from a few weeks ago. We are in the process of contacting those with store credit to spend, but in many cases we do not have contact information or the information is out-of-date. If you think you have credit, please don't hesitate to call or stop by (we're open Thursday - Sunday from 10 to 3). We so appreciate your support of the shop over the years and want you to have the best selection of books (and DVDs, etc.)!

Dear community,

I am so sorry to inform you that The Garden of Readin’ will be closing on December 10, 2022. While this decision was incredibly difficult, endings often lead to new beginnings, and it’s my hope that something new and wonderful will fill this happy home on E. King Street.

If you have store credits on file, I invite you to come in and use them as soon as possible. In the past, credits could be used for half the price of your book purchases; now you can spend your credits for the entire purchase. If you have credits and we have your contact information on file in the shop, we will be reaching out to you in the next couple of weeks to let you know.

A few administrative notes:

- Our hours are changing: effective immediately, we will be open Thursday through Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM.
- We cannot accept books for either donation or credit.
- We'll be discounting books as we move toward December; any updates will be posted here.

We'll reopen on Thursday Aug 25 with our normal schedule.
