Elree’s Sweet Shoppe is a small town bakery, family owned, and operated since 1972. We pride ourselves in the desserts and snacks we provide our customers. Our bakery was established by my mother, Elree Carter, after discovering that her co-workers at her at Fieldcrest Mills in North Carolina took great delight in her home-made cakes, and bought them as fast as she could bake them. Since then we've delivered our cakes and treats all over Rockingham County, NC, and beyond. When the Gulf War broke out, we shipped our oatmeal cookies to the White House and the Sons and Daughters of America in Iraq. What a delight to receive a letter from Mr. Thank you George, it's the least we can do. We hope the rest of you enjoy our sweet treats as much as our heros do. We ship nationwide. We’ve also decided that it is time to share some of our desserts with the world. God has richly blessed us in our bakery business, and I know he will always provide the things we have need of. So as God has shared Himself with us, we would like to share ourselves with you through these traditional homestyle recipes. Some have been handed down from my grandmother. I hope you will enjoy them as much as our customers have.
